Placements

One of the great things about practice interviews is the networking opportunities. Rodine (pictured at right) made such a good impression with one of the volunteers during her practice interview, she recommended her for a job. Rodine got it, and now she is a Food Service Worker for Sodexo at Dana Farber Cancer Institute.

Abrehet got a job in Environmental Services at Newton Wellesley Hospital!

Marjorie (pictured at right) is thrilled that she got her target job: Line Cook at Olive Garden. She told the class about the value of practice interviews. “Learn as much as you can from the volunteers. Be sure to show all the corrections you have made for your final round,” Marjorie said.

Michelle got a Room Service Ambassador at Newton Wellesley Hospital.

Retention


Johnny (pictured at right) reached his two-year anniversary at Compass Group! He was recently promoted from Audio Visual Technician to Manager of Audio Visual Services. Johnny told job-seeker, “If you work hard, you can definitely get to where you want to go.”

Cheray got a job as an accounting assistant.

Kayree got hired as a clerical office assistant.

Chanelle (pictured at right) rang the bell to announce her new job as an Office Service Representative. She told job-seekers that it took her longer than she hoped to find a job, but she was happy to have a full-time, permanent job with benefits. Chanelle said she worked all kinds of jobs in the past, and Career Collaborative gave her the resources to figure out what she really wanted to do.
